Why do you have to sign up again? The reasons for this are as follows: In our transfer to the new system, we had to chose between transferring all of your former member information, including your username and password, to our new web site - OR to leave your information intact in the old directory and let you sign up once more at the new web site.
We chose 'the-sign-up-again' option, since it could be more fun for our members to have access to their older membership pages with your earlier articles at the older directory whenever they want to.

If we had chosen to transfer your older membership information to the new web site - your existing membership pages at ArticleNorth article directory, including all of your information and articles up till now, would have been lost in the transfer. This means that your older member stats and web page would have disappeared with the transfer. This is reason number one for letting you sign up again to the new site. However, you will still be able to access your older member pages at ArticleNorth's article directory as before at anytime.

Reason number two is that if we had transferred everything to the new web site, with our 67,000+ articles in our older directory, including yours - the articles would lose their positions in the search engines as of now, with the transfer. That is also the main reason why we chose not to transfer your information and earlier articles to the new and added directory.

Due to our new system it's therefore no longer possible to submit articles to the older directory after the launch of our new system. From then on we will only accept article submissions to the new part of our article directory system with our brand new credit point system. For information on the credit point system, click the link in the menu at the new web site that says "Credit Points". For credit point prices, you just login to your membership pages for more information (When you are in your member area, mouse over the Login button in the menu and click the link "Buy Credits" in the dropdown menu, which will take you to that page). You will find more information on our article directory system under "Recent Blogs" at the new web site and "About Us" at ArticleNorth.com as well.

The earlier ’submit-articles’- form on your older member page will therefore no longer be available in your member area at our older directory. From the launch on, you can only submit articles + features from your new membership web page at the new web site.

However, you can still log in to the older system with your earlier username and password to your older membership pages, to view your earlier articles and stats, and use that part of the website as usual, as mentioned above.

You will still have reprint rights to all of our articles as before and you can still read all of the articles at our older directory that was posted before the change to the new system. For reprint rights learn more here

It is so forth only your new submissions of articles - and now also blog posts, news, pod casts, files and pictures, that has changed to the new web site.

The new membership is free as usual. To become a new member, just click the Become an Author button or the Sign Up button in the menu at the new site, or near the top of the web page. When you have signed up, you must confirm your membership via email before you will be able to login. The email will be sent to you immediately after you have signed up. Once you have confirmed your membership, just click on the Account Login button, or the Login button in the menu at the new web site.

It is also absolutely free for a member to submit News to our new web site. Your news will also be reviewed by an professional editor and approved or declined. Our submission guidelines applies for news as for articles and blog posts.

However, a piece of news is not an article. Nor is it a disguised way to advertise a product - and we can not stress that enough. All attempts of spamming our site with phoney items addressed as news will be deleted. A news item, like an article, is a valuable and sincere piece of information about a certain subject within any of our 632 categories or fields.

To submit news is therefore not just another way of promoting a product or a company. It is neither a masked way of writing about a new product or company as if it was news. Nevertheless, you can write news about a certain product or company if it has true news value, which doesn't mean an announcement of a new product or company. To submit 'News', which is a brand new feature, you just mouse over the login button in the menu at the new site, then click the "Create Some News" link in the drop down menu. You will then be redirected to another web page where you login once more with your usual username and password. Once you have logged in click the 'create news' link and you go from there.

Even if you choose to Not become an author at ArticleNorth, there are still lots of benefits and features for you to take part of for free. You will still be able to participate in our community by reading articles, blog posts and news.

You can email your preferred articles to a friend. You can print out articles right from the site. You can also give spam free comments and ratings of our articles as a non-member and non-author. And you can syndicate your favorite articles or categories and also spread the word about them by adding them to your favorite Reader. But this is not all!

As a non-member or non-writer you can also mark your favorite articles to a special folder or box right at our site AND also mark the articles you want to read later to a special box or folder.

Your folders or boxes are saved for you by our system and displayed right on Your Own Homepage for you only, whenever you want, so that you can come back later to read them any time you will return to the web site, without having to log in as a member or writer!

In Novmber last year we announced that we are implementing a new system for our members at Articlenorth directory. We had plans to launch it in December of 2007, but due to unforseen and unfortunate incidents that we have been exposed to, we were not able to launch it at the time that we had planned. However, things are looking up and moving along and we will soon be able to launch our additional article directory website as promised, including our new system.

We have however implemented a 24-hour/one business day editing and publishing service, which means that you will have your articles published within 24 hours or one business day. We are now looking into a new solution for the credit point system. We do not have an exact date when our new credit point system will come in place, but will keep you informed of the transfer as soon as possible.
